DDC Ganderbal visits GGHSS, PHC Tulmulla takes stock of development of I-land at Manasbal

 

GANDERBAL, MARCH 02:(PTK) District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today visited Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGMSS), Tulmulla, Primary Heath Centre (PHC) Tulmulla and site of I-land which is being developed within the Manasbal lake Safapora.

During the visit the DDC was accompanied by Tehsildar Tulmulla, Tehsildar Lar and other concerned.

While visiting GGHSS Tulmulla, apart from checking the attendance of employees, the DDC reviewed the functioning of the school and inspected the proceedings of morning assembly.

While interacting with the students he stressed upon them to work hard to become successful and attempt for achieving academic excellence to make their life and society better.

He also urged the teachers to improve the quality of teaching to improve the standards of learning. He extorted for inculcating moral education among the students besides involving them in sports activities.

During his visit to PHC Tulmulla, the DDC stressed for punctuality of the doctors and Para-medical staff.

He enquired about the availability of essential medicines and facilities being provided to the patients
On the occasion, the DDC directed the doctors and paramedics to work with added zeal and to ensure cleanliness and segregation of waste as per laid guidelines.

Later, DDC visited the site of I-Land which is being developed within the Manasbal Lake, Safapora where he took stock of progress of development work on the I-Land.

The DDC was briefed about the progress on the projects and was informed by the Executive Engineer, Wular Manasbal Development Authority that the total cost of the project is 4.43 crore approved under Pradhan Mantri Development Plan which shall be completed in September 2020.

The DDC urged the Executive Engineer to apace the development work by way of engaging more men and machinery so that the prestigious project which will be main attraction and instrumental for increasing tourist footfall in the district, gets completed within the stipulated time frame.(PTK)
