DC reviews Independence Day arrangements 2022 at Reasi
REASI, JULY 19 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the Independence Day- celebration 2022 here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding hoisting of tricolour, security arrangements, traffic, security passes, seating arrangements, decoration, Shehnai vadan, commentators, illumination of Government buildings , PAS, Power and water supply, sanitation, medicare facilities, invitation cards, cultural activities, display of tableaus, fire tenders etc.
The meeting was informed that the main function of the celebrations would be held at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, where the chief guest would unfurl the National Flag , followed by the inspection of the parade.
It was decided that march-past will be presented by contingents as per the past practices, besides cultural programme would be held with limited participation keeping in view the Covid protocol.

The DC directed the Education department to advise the participants from the schools to follow the Covid appropriate behavior properly. She asked the concerned authorities to ensure that the abundant school buildings handed over to the different departments are made functional and the Youth Clubs be asked to organise flag hoisting functions at these locations and conduct awareness programs on the social issues as decided by DYSSO.
She emphasized on making proper seating arrangements for all invitees.
