DC Budgam chairs Mega Block Diwas at Bandibagh in Block Parnewa
PRESS TRUST OF KAHSMIR BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 07: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid today chaired a mega Block Diwas at Panchayat Halqa Bandibagh in Block Parnewa.
Among others, ADDC Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak, GM DIC, ACD, Engineers from various engineering wings, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, ARTO, Tehsildar and other district officers and officials attended the programme.
On the occasion, PRIs from village Bandibagh, Tilanpora, Battbagh, Handjan and other adjacent villages apprised the DC about their needs.
After giving patient hearing to the public, the DC assured that all genuine demands shall be looked into on priority.
He directed the concerned to take up all required works on priority. He said that various WSS schemes have been earmarked under JJM for the area to ensure adequate supply of potable water to all households.

The DC stressed on coordination between departments and availability of field functionaries on the ground for the general public.
Asserting on cleanliness and sanitation, the DC urged the PRIs and locals to ensure complete ban on single use plastic items and proper garbage disposal. Besides construction of compost and soakage pits for solid waste and liquid waste management.
He emphasized that works related to irrigation, road development and improvement in education and health sectors be executed in a time bound manner for public convenience.
On the occasion, various district officers deliberated on schemes and public welfare initiatives and called for massive public participation in these schemes.
