CRPF man among eight die of Covid in Kashmir, J&K oll reaches 590

Srinagar August 20 (PTK)Eight more patients including a CRPF man who was tested positive for Covid-19 died on Thursday in Kashmir, taking the toll of total deaths related to Covid-19 in J&K to 590.

An official from SMHS said that a CRPF man 61 battalion Shivpora who was suffering from bilateral pneumonia and was tested positive for Covid-19 died on Thursday.

He added that a patient from Tral who was admitted on 11 August, a patient from Khana Budgam who was admitted on 17 August, a patient from Bamroo Magam who was admitted on 10 August, a patient from Yunsu Hardwara who was admitted on 18 August and a patient from Jawahar Nagar who was admitted on 30 July died on Thursday.

An official from SKIMS Soura said that a patient from Sopore Baramulla who was admitted on 09 August with Chronic Kidney disease, bilateral pneumonia and other ailments died due to Cardiopulmonary arrest.

An official from CD hospital Srinagar said that a patient from Jawahar Nagar Srinagar who was admitted on 30 July died of Covid-19 on Thursday.

With eight more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached to 590 including 549 from Kashmir division and 41 from Jammu division.(PTK)
