Congress slams UT Administration over salary deduction of employees in lockdown.

 

Srinagar June 7, 2020(PTK). The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today slammed the administration over deduction of salaries of various Govt employees especially in revenue Department after declaring them absent from duties during the current lockdown.
They Party has also asked the Srinagar District Administration to come clean on the issue and explain as to why the salaries of employees have reportedly been deducted.
Senior Congress Leader and Srinagar District Congress Committee President Abdul Gani Khan has expressed serious concern over the salary deduction of various employees in Revenue Department, as reported, especially in Srinagar District after declaring them as absent from duty in lockdown.
Khan termed the deduction as illogical, as that, the Lockdown was declared in the backdrop of the spread of Pandemic, knowing that the disease might engulf the entire J&K, the UT administration enforced the strict lockdown, besides advising the netizens to adhere to the advisories, the employee were not the exception on this front, he said.
The deduction of salaries of various employees is very serious, one fails to understand that when the entire country was put under strict lockdown, why the salaries of  some employees in revenue department, has reportedly been deducted, Senior Congress Leader questioned and said there must have  been some directions with regard to salary deduction.
I would urge upon the UT administration to look into the matter and revoke the deduction of salaries of Revenue Employees, he added and laid emphasizes over ensuring accountability at various levels in the administration.
