Congress pays floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi on his 33rd Martyrdom Day

Srinagar May 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday paid floral tributes to Former Prime Minister of India Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his Martyrdom Day, recalling his great contributions to the inclusive development of the Nation.

 

J&K Pradesh Congress Committee in a function which was attended by Party Office bearers, DCC Presidents, Block President, frontal organizations and prominent party workers at Srinagar Party Office paid floral tributes to Former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi on his 33rd Martyrdom Day, describing him a man of development.

 

The leaders said the selfless services and sacrifices of Rajiv Gandhi shall continue to lead the Nation at path of prosperity and equitable development of every section living in the country while highlighting the three tyre Panchayat Raj system gifted by the Martyred leader to the Nation, which proved a milestone in the overall development and empowerment of people at village level and in far flung rural areas.

 

Terming computer science one amongst the big achievements, the leaders appreciated Rajiv Ji’s sincere efforts to introduce computer science which contributed immensely to the development of the Nation bringing India at par with other fast developing countries in the globe. There has been a massive development under the Prime Ministership of Rajiv Gandhi in the country in every respect, but the cruel hands of death snatched the leader of masses, which was a big loss that could not be replaced by anything.

 

Rajiv Gandhi’s enduring legacy continues to inspire the generations, besides reminding us about the cost of our freedom and democratic values. We must reiterate our commitment to the principles Martyred leader tirelessly fought for, they speakers added.

Rajiv Gandhi’s bravery, commitment and conviction shall continue to guide us in our mission for equality, and justice. His (Gandhi’s) leadership qualities shall remain a beacon of hope and strength for all Indians striving for a better future, JKPCC said.
