CM Omar Abdullah Meets Amit Shah, Discusses Statehood and Key Issues Concerning J&K
New Delhi, May 11 (PTK): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and held detailed discussions on several important issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed a range of significant matters including restoration of statehood, Transaction of Business Rules, rationalisation of reservation and other governance and public welfare-related issues.
The meeting also reviewed the prevailing security and economic situation in Jammu and Kashmir, with emphasis on maintaining peace, stability and inclusive development across the Union Territory.
Omar Abdullah stressed the need for addressing governance-related concerns and accelerating developmental and welfare initiatives to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also highlighted the importance of continued coordination between the Central Government and the Jammu and Kashmir administration on issues of public importance.
Officials said the discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere and focused on strengthening governance, improving public service delivery and ensuring long-term peace, prosperity and development in the region.(PTK)
