CBI Conducts Raid at DySP Aadil Sheikh’s Residence in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 19(PTK), The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at the accommodation of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sheikh Aadil Mushtaq at Custodian Quarters in Sanat Nagar, Srinagar, on Wednesday.

Sources told the Srinagar-based news-gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com that the search was part of an investigation into allegations of disproportionate of assets amassed by the officer, linked to an FIR registered at CBI’s Srinagar wing.

Earlier, on September 21, 2023, DySP Aadil was arrested on multiple charges, including corruption, extortion, and fraud. His arrest followed the registration of FIR No. 149/2023 at Nowgam Police Station, citing violations under Sections 7 and 7A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, along with Sections 167, 193, 201, 210, 218, and 221 of the Indian Penal Code and was later granted bail.:-PTK.
