Casual labour attempts to set himself ablaze over keeping his salary withheld

Srinigar 05 Dec (PTK):A casual labour working in Range office Verinag Anantnag on Saturday tried to set himself ablaze over keeping his salary withheld.

An official said that casual labour Ashiq Hussian Naikoo of Batagund Verinag tried to set himself ablaze for keeping his salary withheld.

He said that other employees present their stopped him from doing so.

Ashiq Hussian has been alleging that DFO Anantnag and Range officer Verinag have been only releasing salaries in favour of blue eyed persons and poor are being neglected.

On contacting Range officer Imtiyaz Ahmed, he said that I am on election duty and the person may not have received salary due to issues in his account.

He assured that matter will be investigated and salary will be given to him ad others have got.(PTK)
