BWF organises free medical camp in Kangan
SRINAGAR (PTK):- A two day free medical camp was organized in Kangan area of Ganderbal by BWF
Borderless World Foundation (BWF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered under India’s Societies Registration Act, 1860.
The NGO has been working in Jammu and Kashmir, along the conflict-riven border region in between India, Pakistan & China. Established in 1987, it has worked extensively for more than three 3 decades to reach to out to people needing medical assistance.
The aim of organizing the camp is to provide free medical assistance to the locals residing in the far flung areas of Kashmir.
The camp was organised over a period of two days at Govt Degree College Kangan.
Patients visiting the camp were examined by team of doctors from BWF such as Paediatrician, Nutritionist, MD, Dermatologist, Orthopaedics, Gynaecologist and Dental Surgeons etc. Free medicines were also provided to the patients visiting the camp.
Organizing such camps will go a long way in projecting the positive image of Indian Army in masses as an organisation committed to work for the weaker sections of the society.
Also, organising such a camp in remote areas will help in further strengthening the bond of the Army with locals of the general area especially Gund, Kullan & Sonamarg, as for a long time these areas have witnessed limited army led welfare projects
Also, with the upcoming OP SHIVA, such project will enhance the IA’s reach among people of Sonamarg.(PTK)
