Black marketing taking toll due to highway gag in Kashmir: Kadfeen

Srinagar, Apr 26 (PTK): Expressing concern over the constant highway closure which is putting traders in dire straits, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has said that it is high for the government to revoke the highway gag without further delay.

He said that entire Kashmir Valley is up in arms against the gag and people are demanding the revocation of the same at an earliest.

Kadfeen said that the traders especially the fruit growers and mutton dealers are facing immense losses due to the two day closure every week and the ‘demand and supply’ is getting badly affected.

He said that not only the traders but common people are also getting severely affected through such measures as black marketing is on rise with prices of essentials also touching the sky.

Kadfeen said that common innocent people of Kashmir for absolutely no fault are being pushed to the wall and deliberate attempts are being made to turn the situation catastrophic.

He said that the gag should be scrapped without delay and situation on ground must be taken into consideration as war like scenes in the markets of Kashmir are subtly being witnessed at large.  (PTK)
