BJP’s August 5 celebrations reflective of party’s sadistic mindset towards JK people: Kadfeen

Srinagar August 5(PTK)Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has flayed the BJP led dispensation over enacting the cheap theatrics on August 5, stating that the way celebrations were held by the party at various places expose its sadistic mindset and approach towards the helpless people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kadfeen in a statement issued to PTK, here has questioned the logic behind BJP’s jubilations and has asked whether the party was rejoicing over the fact that since past one year it has bulldozed Kashmir’s economy, tourism industry, education sector, denying people their right to dissent and even throttling the internet speed all across.

Kadfeen said that it is ironic that those at the helm have kept their eyes shut over the way in which free speech has been criminalized and a threat to the institutions of democracy and Fairplay is menacingly looming large.

The Congress leader added that Kashmir’s economy has seen losses worth thousands of crores and joblessness here is witnessing an unprecedented surge every day after. “The fact is that the tall claims of the BJP that it made while abrogating Article 370 are lying around it like the dry dead flowers, rebuking the very promises it made to the perturbed people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. The situation is deeply disturbing. One wonders whether BJP will make itself accountable to the historic blunders it has committed without any compunction,” said Kadfeen.(PTK)
