Covid-19:- Covaxin being rolled out in J&K today

Jammu May 01 (PTK) The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday decided to roll out largest vaccine drive from today for all above 18-45 in a phased manner, beginning with Jammu and Srinagar.

J&K government in a tweet said that Jammu & Kashmir to rollout 18-45 vaccine from today 1 May in a phased manner, beginning with Jammu & Srinagar.

“COVAXIN will be administered to this age group free of cost. It will be by prior registration and prior appointment only. Please do not crowd the vaccination centres without appointment,” Government added.

A top health officer said that COVAXIN being launched in capital cities of J&K; 18 years and above who have pre-registered shall get their first Covaxin jab.

He said that inaugural at Immunization Clinic (at Pain Clinic, near JK Bank, ENT/ Ophthalmology OPD Building, SMHS Hospital Srinagar today 1st May 2021 at 4:00 pm.

“Those who have taken Covishield as first dose shall take 2nd dose of Covishield only, he added. (PTK)
