Bijbehara girl pursuing MBBS dies in Bangladesh

Family appeals authorities to help them in bringing back body

Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar, Sep 07: A Kashmiri girl student from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has died in Bangladesh where she was pursuing MBBS. Her family has appealed to J&K Lt Governor to help get her body back home.

According to her family, MBBS student identified as Khusboo Manzoor daughter of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Katoo Bijbehara fell from hostel building of her college on Tuesday after which she was in ICU, however, she succumbed today.

She was pursuing Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Medical College in Bangladesh

The family appealed to the Ministry of external Affairs, Indian embassy in Bangladesh and J&K government to help them to bring the student’s body back for the last rites.

The family was unable to reach Bangladesh as the family members do not have the adequate documents to travel to Bangladesh, a relative of the deceased said.

They requested district administration to take up issue with all concerned authorities so as to get the body back for last rites
