JK congress leadership unhappy over Azad for not calling to accompany him

Srinagar, Mar 14 (PTK): Senior Congress leader and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad who met National conference president, Farooq Abdullah at his residence on Saturday has made his party leaders angry for not informing them about his visit and not calling them to accompany him.

Many Congress leaders of Jammu and Kashmir union territory on Saturday while talking to Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) expressed their anguish over the party leader and said that Azad should have called the local Congress leadership to accompany him in meeting with Dr Abdullah.

A leader on condition of anonymity said that they were not even aware about his visit and came to know about it through media reports.

Whole congress unit in Jammu and Kashmir including leaders and workers are angry over his stand of not informing local Congress leadership and asking them to accompany him, he added.

Pertinent Gh Nabi Azad met Farooq Abdullah a day after his release after centre issued orders to revoke detention of NC chief, who was detained under public safety act following the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. (PTK)
