Atal Dulloo Appointed as New Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir
SRINAGAR (PTK) : The Centre has chosen senior IAS officer Atal Dulloo to take over as the new chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir. This decision follows the retirement of the incumbent chief secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta.
According to an official order, Atal Dulloo is slated to assume office as the chief secretary starting December 1, 2023. The order states, “Consequent upon the superannuation of Arun Kumar Mehta, IAS (AGMUT:1988) on 30.11.2023, and on repatriation from Central Deputation, Atal Dulloo, IAS (AGMUT: 1988), is hereby appointed as Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir w.e.f. 01.12.2023, or from the date of assumption of charge, whichever is later and until further orders.”
This transition in leadership marks a crucial juncture for the administrative landscape of Jammu and Kashmir, and Atal Dulloo’s tenure will be closely watched as he steps into this pivotal role. (PTK)
