Army foils infiltration bid in Poonch

Press Trust of Kashmir | Poonch:- Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Poonch district on Wednesday.

Jammu based spokesman, Lt Col Devendar Anand said that during midnight hours, there was an infiltration attempt along LoC in Poonch sector.

He said that the attempt was suitably foiled by the alert troops, while more details will be shared later on.

In Khari area of Poonch army intercepted the infiltration attempt of a group of heavily armed militants, there by foiling the infiltration bid, said an official.

There was some exchange of fire following which search operation has been launched in the area, he said.:-PTK.
