Army Chief meets Lt Governor

 

The Lt Governor lauded the Army’s role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for the people of J&K, besides extending necessary support and complementing Government’s efforts in controlling the spread of Corona virus.

Press trust of Kashmir | SRINAGAR : General MM Naravane, Chief of the Army Staff, today met Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha here at the Raj Bhavan.

The Army Chief was accompanied by Lt Gen YK Joshi, Northern Army Commander and Lt Gen DP Pandey, General Officer Commanding (GoC) 15 Corps.

The Lt Governor and the Army Chief discussed about recent internal security developments and the prevailing security scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Discussions were also held on several internal and external security-related issues and their effective management.

The Lt Governor stressed on the high importance of maintaining close synergy between the Army and other Security Forces to meet the security challenges.

Press trust of kashmir | JAMMU  : Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department, Atal Dulloo, today visited 500 bedded Covid hospital established by DRDO at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.

During his visit, FC along with Principal GMC Jammu Dr. Shashi Sudan Sharma toured the hospital to check the facilities being provided in the hospital.

FC enquired, besides positioning of doctors and paramedics, about various Covid care facilities being made available in the hospital for the patients like Intensive Care Unit beds, oxygen facility, triage, clinical equipment and related services.

FC expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided in the hospital and appreciated the DRDO for timely completion of the hospital. He hoped that this 500-bedded Covid hospital would supplement government efforts towards combating the Corona virus pandemic.(PTK).
