Amid Heavy Snowfall army Carries Pregnant Woman to district Hospital in Shopian

Shopian, 08 Jan (PTK) : A army team of 15 Garhwal Rifles in shopian rescued the woman with pregnancy-related complications by carrying her for many kilometres in knee-deep snow on Saturday afternoon in Ramnagri area in South Kashmir’s shopian district.

As per the News agency Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) the heavy snowfall disrupted normal life across the Kashmir Valley , the far-flung areas which experienced heavy snowfall had to face immense troubles particularly in carrying pregnant womens and other patients to the nearby healthcare facilities.

An army official told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) on January 08, amid snowfall, 15 Garhwal Rifles received a call for help regarding a pregnant woman. The team of army evacuated a pregnent lady from Ramnagri to district hospital shopian by carrying her for many kilometres in knee-deep snow.

The family expressed their sincere gratitude for all the assistance the men in uniform provided. This kind gestures would go a long way in strengthening the bond between the Army and Awaam, said a family member.(PTK).
