Amarnaath Yatra to begin from June 28 this year

Jammu March, 13 (PTK) The 56-day-long annual pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas will commence on 28th June 2021, the shrine board said on Saturday

Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has decided that 56 days long Amarnath Yatra would commence on 28th June 2021 and conclude on 22 August.

Situated in a narrow gorge at the farther end of Lidder Valley, Amarnath shrine stands at 3,888 metres, 46 km from Pahalgam and 14 km from Baltal.

Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has reviewed the 2021 Yatra Action Plan, including arrangements for medical care, installation of railings and of garbage in a scientific manner. (PTK)
