On this occasion, Mir said it was decided that Rahul Gandhi’s birthday would not be celebrated in a grand manner, but with humanitarian activities like blood donation and charity activities, etc. “So we are here to celebrate Rahul Gandhi’s birthday with charity activities in the Leper colony,” he said.
“I believe it was the best way to celebrate our Leader’s birthday by reaching out to the needy and sharing their pain,” Mir said.
He urged the administration to address the multiple issues concerning leprosy patients, especially drinking water scarcity over there, on priority basis.
“We as a society should feel more responsible and concerned about the wellbeing of the Leprosy patients including other poor and needy sections and work towards redressal of their grievances,”Mir added.
