Haj Committee of India Extends Deadline for Advance Haj Payments

Srinagar, Oct 21: The Haj Committee of India (HCoI) has extended the deadline for depositing the advance Haj amount for Hajj 2025. Initially set for October 21, 2024, the new deadline is now 11:59 PM on October 31, 2024. Selected pilgrims must also submit their necessary documents by November 5, 2024.

The extension was granted following numerous requests from State Haj Committees, organizations, and individuals. The advance payment of Rs 1,30,300 can be made online or through bank branches, while required documents include the Haj Application Form, medical certificates, and passport copies.

Officials from the Jammu and Kashmir State Haj Committee revealed that 30% of the provisionally selected pilgrims are yet to make their payments. Failure to meet the deadlines for both payment and documentation submission will result in the cancellation of Haj seats, the circular emphasized.
