Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha Pays Tribute to Freedom Fighters at DD Kashir’s ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Event

 

Srinagar, August 14, 2024 – In a poignant tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters and martyrs, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended a special event organized by DD Kashir, titled “Meri Maati Mera Desh,” on the eve of India’s 78th Independence Day.

 

The event, held in the spirit of patriotism, celebrated the sacrifices of those who fought for the nation’s independence. Lt. Governor Sinha, in his address, emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices made by our forefathers. “Their courage and determination laid the foundation of our nation, and it is our duty to carry forward their legacy,” he said.

 

The event also marked the commencement of a new talent hunt reality show, aimed at discovering and nurturing local talent from the region. The show is expected to provide a platform for young and aspiring artists, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The initiative reflects DD Kashir’s commitment to promoting regional culture while instilling a sense of national pride among the youth. The talent hunt is seen as a significant step towards empowering the local community and encouraging participation in the national mainstream.
