Unfortunate incident of boat capsizing in Jehlum

SRINAGAR,16 April 2024 : The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association has expressed deep shock and remorse over the unfortunate incident of boat capsizing in river Jehlum today wherein school going children lost their lives.
In a statement,Shah Fayaz Chairman JKTA and President JKECC has expressed his deep anguish and sorrow over the incident and prayed for peace to the departed souls and forbearance to the bereaved families.
He added that the JKTA along with the entire teaching fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir, stands by the grief stricken families in this hour of extreme grief.
Shah Fayaz requested all the teachers across the schools in the UT especially in the Kashmir valley to hold sessions of special prayers for the departed souls in the morning assemblies on Thursday as mark of solidarity with the bereaved families. He said that it is imperative for teaching fraternity to hold prayer sessions as we have lost some blooming buds of our progeny.
