Eid prayers in Jama Masjid at 9:30 am, Mirwaiz’s sermon at 08:30 am

SRINAGAR  : As Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, the Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar extends warm greetings to the Muslim community. In an announcement, the Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid disclosed the schedule for Eid prayers and the anticipated sermon by Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq.

 

Eid prayers are set to commence promptly at 9:30 am within the sacred precincts of the historic Jama Masjid. Preceding the congregational prayers, at 8:30 am, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir will deliver a significant Eid sermon, imparting wisdom and guidance to the faithful gathered.

 

In a statement, the Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid encouraged all Muslims to actively partake in the Eid prayers and emphasized the importance of punctuality. Attendees are urged to bring prayer mats to ensure comfort and convenience during the auspicious occasion.

 

Furthermore, the Auqaf reiterated the obligatory nature of Zakat-ul-Fitr, setting the minimum amount at Rs. 70 per person this year. It is mandatory for this charitable contribution to be made before the Eid prayer, underscoring the significance of aiding those in need during the festive season.

 

As the community prepares to rejoice in the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Jama Masjid stands as a beacon of unity, fostering solidarity and devotion among worshippers.
