Ganderbal Police solve theft: Arrested accused, seized cash & scooty.
In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the Ganderbal Police have successfully cracked a theft case within days of receiving a complaint, leading to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of stolen items.
The incident came to light when Kaiser Ahmad Waza lodged a written complaint with the Ganderbal Police, alleging that his sister-in-law, who was visiting as a guest, had stolen gold ornaments from his house. The stolen items were reportedly kept in the locker of his room.
Promptly responding to the complaint, the Ganderbal Police registered a case under relevant sections of the law and launched an investigation into the matter. Under the guidance of SSP Ganderbal, Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS, a specialized team was formed, led by SHO PS Ganderbal, Inspector Manzoor Ahmad.
Utilizing a combination of diligent investigative work and technical expertise, the police team managed to track down the accused to Harisingh Highstreet in Srinagar. Upon interrogation, the accused admitted to the theft and disclosed that she had sold the stolen gold ornaments for cash.
Subsequently, a significant amount of cash amounting to Rs. 1,85,500 (Rupees One Lakh Eighty Five Thousand & Five Hundred only) along with a scooty were recovered from her possession and seized on the spot. The accused was promptly arrested and taken into custody.
The swift resolution of the case by the Ganderbal Police has garnered praise and appreciation from the general public.
