Security Forces Conduct Flag March Ahead of Parliamentary Elections in Kashmir

In anticipation of the upcoming Parliamentary elections, police and security forces in Kashmir conducted extensive flag marches across various districts to bolster security measures and ensure a conducive environment for free and fair elections.

 

Reports from the Press Trust of Kashmir confirmed the proactive measures taken by law enforcement agencies, particularly in Pulwama and Baramulla districts, aimed at instilling a sense of security among residents and stakeholders. These flag marches serve as a visible demonstration of the authorities’ commitment to maintaining peace and order during the electoral process.

 

In Ganderbal, under the directive of SSP Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS, the local police, along with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), orchestrated flag marches across the district. Addl.SP Shri Malik Aijaz-JKPS supervised these marches, emphasizing the importance of fostering harmony and ensuring that the electoral proceedings remain free from intimidation or fear.

 

Furthermore, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken proactive steps by establishing election-related helplines across all districts of the Kashmir Division. This initiative aims to provide assistance and support to citizens, thereby enhancing transparency and accessibility throughout the electoral process.

 

By undertaking these preemptive measures, law enforcement agencies are not only ensuring the safety and security of voters but also upholding the democratic values of free and fair elections in the region.
