Only vehicles with anti-skid chains, 4×4 to be allowed towards Sonamarg

Srinagar January, 13 (PTK) The authorities on Friday said that only 4×4 and vehicles with anti-skid chains will be allowed to ply towards Sonamarg from Gagangeer.

The step has been taken in order to prevent accidents due to slippery road.

“To prevent accidents and long-lasting traffic jams due to slippery road, which puts the commuters to much inconvenience, only 4×4 vehicles and those with anti-skid chains shall be allowed from Gagangeer to Sonamarg and vice versa till the thawing of the ice from road.” Reads an order issued by SDM Kangan.
