Those who pelt stones at security forces in Kashmir are anti-Islamic, says Ajmer Dargah

Ajmer, (PTK): In strong words, the Dargah Dewan of the famed Ajmer shrine of the Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti condemned the incidents of stone pelting in Jammu and Kashmir and termed the stone-pelters in the state as “anti-Islamic.” In an interview, the spiritual head of Ajmer Dargah said that those who pelted stones on security forces on Wednesday on the occasion of Eid al-Adha had “brought bad name to Islam.”

Dargah Dewan Syed Zainul Abedin lashed out at stone pelters waving the ISIS flag, saying that it proved that they were terrorists, reports said. He also criticised the treatment meted out at National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, who was allegedly heckled two days a prayer meet for former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee where he had chanted the slogan “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Jai Hind.”

Abdullah was at the 17th-century Hazratbal mosque where he had gone to attend the Eid prayers on Wednesday. Yesterday, festivities of the Eid al-Adha were marred in Jammu and Kashmir as clashes erupted between the security forces and protesters in Srinagar following the Eid prayers, with a few of them pelting stones and raising the flags of Pakistan and ISIS.
