Light to moderate snowfall in J&K from 31st-Ist Nov:- MeT

Says Widespread Snowfall from 5-8 November

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain/snow on 3ist October to Ist November and department has also predicted widespread rain/snow from 5th to 8th November.

An official said that as per today’s conditions, from 31st Night -1st Nov, there is possibility of light to moderate rain/ Snowfall(over middle & higher reaches of J&K, less chance of rain in plains of Jammu.

Official said that from 2-4th Nov the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy with possibility of light rain/snowfall at isolated places.

From 5-8th November there are chances widespread Light to Moderate Rain/snowfall on middle & higher reaches and there is no forecast of Heavy Snowfall till 5th.

During above period there will be fall in day temp and days will be Colder.

Official said that snowfall & low temp. may led to temporary disruption of surface transportation, mainly over Zojila, Mugha Road, Sadnatop, etc.

Farmers are advised to go for necessary pruning of trees and drain out excess water from Orchards during rain.:-PTK.
