Minor girl raped in Srinagar, accused held :- Police

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- A minor girl was allegedly raped in Srinagar and accused has been arrested, Police said.

Srinagar Police in a tweet said that a minor girl of around 13 years (name withheld) was kidnapped & sexually assaulted by one Adil Shafi Hajam (21 yrs) S/o Md Shafi Hajam R/o Syed colony,Nishat.

They said that FIR No 61/22 U/s 366, 376 IPC & 3/4 POCSO Act registered at Rajbagh PS and Special team was constituted & the accused was arrested.

“A minor girl of around 13 years (name withheld) was kidnapped & sexually assaulted by one Adil Shafi Hajam (21 yrs) S/o Md Shafi Hajam R/o Syed colony,Nishat. FIR No 61/22 U/s 366, 376 IPC & 3/4 POCSO Act reg. at Rajbagh PS. Special team was constituted & the accused was arrested.” Srinagar Police tweeted.:- PTK.
