PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR OCT 07:- Army has organised a cricket tournament for differently abled persons in Ganderbal district

An official said that with an effort to extend Indian Army outreach to Differently Abled persons of Kashmir, a Wheelchair Cricket Tournament was organised by Dodarhama Army Camp in collaboration with Wheelchair Cricket Association J&K at Qamaria Stadium, Ganderbal.

He said that the cricket match was of T20 layout and was played by two teams, each comprising of 15 differently abled players of J&K UT. The teams had many International and National players who have played numerous matches at various levels and stages. The match was a true example of their dedication and sportsmanship.

This was an unique event and one of its kind organised in Ganderbal district till date. The event was appreciated by the locals and was covered in the local media, he added.
