DC Reasi flags of Van for distribution of spawned bags of Button Mushroom

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR REASI, OCTOBER 6: Agriculture Prod. & Farmers Welfare Department, Reasi today kick started the distribution of pasteurized spawned bags of Button Mushroom.

The refrigerated van  carrying  1st  lot of 950 bags was  flagged off by   Worthy  District  Development Commissioner,  Reasi, Babila Rakwal.

About 50 -100 farmers are likely to be benefited by Mushroom cultivation in the coming season.  Approximately 4000 bags will be  distributed to the farmers during the current season  and about 12 tonnes of mushroom is supposed  to be produced in district  Reasi.

 Harbans Singh,  Chief Agriculture Officer,  Reasi  briefed the Deputy  Commissioner Reasi  about the cultivation of different mushroom species in the district in the past one year.

   Amit Sharma -Mushroom Dev.  Officer-Reasi, Mushroom experts of the department  Jasbir Singh,  Kumar  Gaurav,  Swarn Jamwal, the officers of allied departments of Agriculture Sector viz. Chief  Horticulture Officer,  Chief  Animal  Husbandry  Officer, District  Sheep  Husbandry  Officer,  Reasi accompanied the District Development Commissioner during the flag off ceremony.
