Police arrest 02 drug peddlers in Handwara; Contraband substance recovered
Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar September 17: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested two drug peddlers in Handwara and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A Police party of PS Vilgam at a checkpoint established at Sonmulla Crossing arrested two drug peddlers identified as Shabir Ahmad Lone son of Mohd Akbar resident of Budnambal Chowkibal and Shakeel Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Rashid resident of Zunreshi Chowkibal. During search, officers recovered 10 grams of Brown Sugar from their possession. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 102/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Vilgam and investigation has been initiated.
