Mega Tiranga Rally held at Sports Stadium Pulwama

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR PULWAMA, AUGUST 10: Under the banner of ‘Azadi ka Amrit  Mahotsav’,  a grand celebration  was today held at Sports Stadium Pulwama.

The function was presided over by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary along with SSP Pulwama, Ghulam Jeelani.

More than 2000 students participated in the event and sang patriotic songs.

Addressing the gathering, DDC said that the idea behind Har Ghar Tiranga activities is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

He said a series of activities like rallies, debates, quiz, painting competitions and cultural programmes are organised throughout the district to promote the campaign.

He said organising such events adds more enthusiasm among the public and respect for Tiranga. He urged all the stakeholders to cooperate and coordinate in order to make the Har Ghar Tiranaga initiative a grand success in the district.

DDC appreciated the role of schools in making the Har Ghar Tiranga a successful movement. He expressed joy for the enthusiastic participation of students in the Tiranga rally.

Girl students sang National anthem, songs during the event to make it a colourful event.

Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama , Chief Education Officer, Pulwama District Sports officer and other concerned participated in the event.
