National De-worming day programme held at GBHSS, Shopian
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SHOPIAN, AUGUST 10: The District level programme to commemorate National De-worming Day was today held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Shopian.
On the occasion, Incharge Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Shopian, Dr Mohammad Yousuf Naikoo inaugurated the event by administering albandazole tablet to a student in presence of Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian, DPM, DMEO and other Officers/officials of Health and Education department.

The main objective of the programme was to de-worm all children (boys and girls) aged 1-19 years (enrolled and non-enrolled) at School and AWC to improve child health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life.
