BANDIPORA, JULY 18 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmed on Monday chaired a meeting of officers to discuss the preparations for celebrations of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ in the district.
The meeting held detailed discussion on the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the government has launched Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day.
He said the aim of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative is to invoke feelings of patriotism and promote awareness about our National Flag besides promoting a sense of respect for the National Symbols.
Dr. Owais directed officers to complete all the necessary arrangements in advance for successful celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga initiative.
He asked all the District Heads of departments to submit the requisitions for National Flag for its timely and proper distribution among the employees.
The DC also directed BDOs to prepare a list of institutional and residential buildings at Block level for distribution of flags.
He said that the District Administration has put in place all the necessary arrangements for the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative and urged all the stakeholders to work in coordination and cooperation for observing all the events as per scheduled plan.
He also stressed upon all the stakeholders to go through the flag code and follow standard Protocol to honour the National Flag.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora, M Ashraf Hakak; ASP Bandipora, Ashiq Hussain Tak; ADC Bandipora, Waseem Raja; Vice Chairman District Development Council, President MC Bandipora, DDC Members, BDCs and officers from Civil Administration, Army and CRPF etc.
