Demand end to killing of Pandits

Srinagar May 12 (PTK) Soon after killing of a pandit working at Tehsil office Chadoora in Budgam district, the community members across Kashmir have started protesting against the killing and demanded.

According to PTK,In Veesu Qazigund, the Pandit protestors have blocked national highway 44 completely and demanded end to the killing.

Due to the blocking of highway, hundreds of vehicles are stranded on the highway.

Pandits have blocked roads in Sheikh pora Budgam besides Nikas Pulwama besides that they have been protesting in Mattan Anantnag and other places.

Why our community members are being targeted and what we have done, protestors question.

They raised slogans against administration for failing in securing Kashmir Pandits.

They added that if such continues, they have to save their lives and dont want such jobs.

Notably, Gunmen on Thursday afternoon fired upon the man identified as Rahul Pandit, an employee in local Tehsil office, at Chadoora Budgam on Thursday.

He was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Chadoora where from he was shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. (PTK)
