ZEO misuses powers in Ramban, DC constitutes committee to find facts
Two teachers suspended, pay of ZEO kept with held
Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- As per the report of the Chief Education officer Ramban, ZEO Ramban is mis using his powers and in this regard Deputy Commissioner Ramban has ordered for the Constitution of committee to find facts.
Moreover, two teachers have been suspended while salary of ZEO in question has been kept with held.
“Whereas, a news report was telecast by a news channel on 02.03.2022 on the first day of re-opening of schools regarding the absence of teachers in Government Primary School, Seri, Ramban; and on the basis of the said news item, this office vide No.DCR/PS Camp/1150-53, dated 02.03.2022, sought a detailed report from the Chief Education Officer, Ramban; and the Chief Education Officer, Ramban vide No.CEO/ R/22/28308-09, dated 03.03.2022 submitted a detailed report in the matter and after examining the said report, it is amply clear that Sh. Hafeezullah, Zonal Education Officer, Ramban has misused his powers and tried to shield the erring teachers by way of attaching them on his own, without seeking proper approval from the competent authority; and 5. Whereas, after perusal of the report, one teacher, namely Sh. Nayeem Ahmed, has been attached by ZEO, Ramban in City Middle School, Ramban; Sh. Kuldeep Singh, Teacher, was present in the school and Sh. Nissar Ahmed, Teacher, was absent from duty and had not sought any prior permission to leave the station from the competent authority. Besides, ZEO Ramban has also attached one more teacher,namely Sh. Pritam Singh, in the same school, but he was also absent from duty.” Reads the order
“Whereas, as per report of CEO Ramban, the total enrolment of the school is 10 only. and Zonal Education Officer, Ramban, has attached Sh. Pritam Singh in the said School as per report of CEO, Ramban inspite of the fact that there are already three teachers for 10 students, which reflects gross violation of rules and misuse of official postion by the Zonal Education Officer, Ramban.” It adds.
“In order to ascertain the facts/ findings in the matter, a Committee of below mentioned officers, headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban is hereby, constituted: Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban and Headmaster, GHS Ramban.” It adds.
“The aforesaid Committee shall submit its comprehensive report, along with specific recommendations, in order to proceed further in the matter by or before 10.03.2022.” It adds further.
“Till pending enquiry, Sh. Nissar Ahmed, Teacher, GPS Ser and St. Pram Sing Teacher UPS Koradera, attached in GPS Sen, are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect. During their period of suspension, they shall be attached at their substantive places of posting.” It adds.
” Further, the pay of Sh. Hafeezullah, Zonal Education Officer, Rampan is hereby kept withheld, till further orders.” Order adds.:-PTK
