Encounter breaks out in Tral forests

Press Trust of Kashmir | Pulwama : Gunfight has started between militants and security forces in forests of upper reaches of Tral in Pulwama district.

An official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.

A senior police official also confirmed exchange of fire and said that two militants are believed to be trapped in the area.(PTK).
