FCSCA Dept organises food donation programme, organises food items

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar,12Aug : Department of Food Civil Supplies and consumer Affairs on Thursdayy organised a food-donation programme in the Budgam district and distributed food items including oil and flour among the people.

An official said that in the programme,officials of the Department and other dignitaries participated,and assured the local public that such programme will be organised in the future as well.

They said that people in the district were badly hit by emergence of Covid-19, there by impacting their economic conditions,and rendering them dependent on others for their survival even as initiatives to help people overcome the mental trauma triggered by the lockdowns across J&K have not been taken either.

Meanwhile, people especially the youth have appreciated the Department of Food and Supplies for their continuous efforts to reach out to people battling Covid-19 and struggling to earn and feed their families.

Speaking to reporters after the programme,Social Activist Sarwar Maqbool said that if there is any department concerned about the well-being of people,it is undoubtedly food and supplies department as it has over some months organised a number of such programme in the district and have received appreciation from local people for whatever this department has been doing for the people especially in the district budgam.(PTK).
