Azad urges Rahul to get bill for J&K Statehood passed in next three days in parliament

Senior congress leader and former J&K chief minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday urged Rahul Gandhi to get the bill for Jammu and Kashmir’s Statehood passed in the next three days in the parliament.

He said that people doesn’t want Pondicherry and Delhi like government here

He said that J&K is a border State and LG can’t see law and order situation here and only local chief Minister can do so

Among our five demands during the recently held All Party Meeting with the Prime Minister in New Delhi were Statehood prior to the elections,” Azad said.

He was speaking in Srinagar along with Rahul Gandhi who is on two day visit to Kashmir

In a very first visit to the J&K after abrogation of article 370, the Congress leader and Member of Parliament (MP), Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday morning visited the Kheer Bhawani temple in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to pay obeisance.

Rahul Gandhi paid obeisance at the Mata Kheer Bhawani temple in Tulmulla where security was beefed besides en route to Srinagar.

He is going to visit Anantnag as well where he is going to participate in marriage of G A Mir’s son.(PTK).
