Army organises silat championship in Shadipora

Press Trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal : Army has organised a silat championship in Shadipora area of Bandipora so that local youth can show talent.

An official said that in continuation with Induan Army endeavour towards constructive engagement of the youth, a District Penchak tournament was organised by Sumbal Army Camp in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.

He said that the event was held at Shadipura Multipurpose Sport Complex. A total of 160 boys and girls participated all across from the District of Bandipore and Ganderbal.

He added that the event helped children showcase their talent and pick up sports as a career. The event was also instrumental in boosting the bonhomie between the Army and local Awaam.(PTK).
