Covid-19 testing data must be digitalized in Srinagar: Mohsin Zaffar Shah, ‘Takes a week for dissemination of Covid-19 reports’
Press Trust of Kashmir | SRINAGAR: Apni Party District Youth President Mohsin Zaffar Shah appealed to the District Administration to provide adequate digitalization facilities to the health care personnel stationed in Urban Primary Health Centres and Primary Health Care Centres of District Srinagar.
In a statement issued here, Shah stated that the process carried out by the testing teams of health care personnel includes handwritten receipts, which may easily be accomplished with the use of computers and printers.
“Health care workers face long queues in testing facilities regularly. Ample automated services for the issuance of receipts and other Covid-19 registration documents should be supplied to them,” Shah added.
He observed that the digitalization of testing data will relieve the pressure on Srinagar’s healthcare system by allowing healthcare workers involved in issuing handwritten formalities to be deployed elsewhere.
For a more systematic approach to combatting the Covid 19 pandemic, Shah highlighted the importance of linking Covid 19 positive patient data with the Arogya Setu, Umang, and CoWin digital portals.
Shah asserted that the Covid-19 test results are taking a week, which has caused confusion and mental disturbance among those who have symptoms or have come into contact with a Covid-19 patient.
He impressed upon the District Administration to act quickly to address the prospect for delays in the dissemination of Covid – 19 reports.
Shah demanded that the District Administration should provide adequate transportation to the health care personnel as their workload is onerous and are compelled to leave the Covid-19 centres late, causing transportation issues.(PTK).
