Shopian residents demand construction of Shadab-Dabjan road
Locals requested higher ups to look into the matter and start work on the road at an earliest so that locals can have a sigh of relief.
Press trust of Kashmir | Shopian : The residents of Chanjemarg, Dobjan, Shadab Karrwa and it’s adjacent areas in Shopian on Saturday staged protest and demanded road connectivity with Mughal road.
The residents while raising slogans in favour of their demand appealed higher authorities to construct this road at an earliest as it will road will help in the development of the area.

A protestor sir that since last one decade, they have been moving pillar to post for this road but as of now nothing has been done.
He said that every time we are being assured that work on the road will start soon but their assurances on ground are proving hoax.
Another protestor said that last year a team from administration visited here and all documents were completed for the construction of the road.

He said that approval, DIPR and even tendering has been done but due to unknown reasons the work hasn’t been started as of now.
Locals said that they have been taken up issue in notice of higher ups this year several time but as of now work hasn’t been started as of now.
