Fake Police SI arrested in Jammu’s Doda*

Jammu September 15 (PTK) Jammu and Kashmir police in Doda district on Tuesday arrested a person who was performing duties on field by becoming a Police Sub Inspector.

A senior police officer said that an information was received that a civil man is working as a police sub inspector in Doda and is also performing general duties on field in and around Doda town and was also seen working with security forces that remain deployed on nakas.

On this, a team of police started investigation and managed to nab one Neeraj Kumar resident of Arnora Doda who was found pretending to present himself to public and security forces that he is Sub Inspector in JK Police and was also wearing uniform in public place and all other badges and ranks.

According to PTK, On verification, it was found that the said person isn’t a police recruit and is merely pretending as a police sub inspector.

A senior officer said that a case in FIR 164/2020 have been registered in Doda police station and investigation is going on.(PTK)
