Polytechnic students demand relaxation in syllabus, conduct their examination
Srinagar August 24 (PTK) Scores of Students of various polytechnic colleges of city Monday staged a protest here in press enclave against the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE) and demanded relaxation in syllabi.
6th semester Polytechnic Students from Government Women’s Polytechnic College Bemina, Government Kashmir Polytechnic (KGP) College Gogji Bagh, Master Pro Polytechnic College Nowgam and Kite Polytechnic College Rangreth said that due to lock down they were unable to read but authorities have fixed the date of the examination which according to the students is total injustice to their studies.
The students said they will not be able to complete their syllabus at home and if the JKBOTE wants to conduct our examinations then they have to give them relaxation in the syllabus or they should fail us directly instead of conducting examination formalities.
“Neither we are prepared nor we have completed our syllabus rather we have just completed only ten percent of the syllabus, said a student.
The students warned the JKBOTE by saying, “If the genuine steps are not taken immediately to solve this problem then they will come on the roads and will stage a massive protest in the all polytechnic Colleges.”
The students were carrying placards which reads, ‘We want justice’, ‘Don’t ruin our career’ ‘Give relaxation’, ‘Reduce our syllabi.’(PTK)
