Amid lockdown: A family in Pampore hosts non locals

Srinagar, Apr 16 (PTK): Amid lockdown a family in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama is hosting non locals from last one month.

Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Patalbagh Pampore said that Javid Ahmad and his mother from Mumbai are living with me from last one month who are stranded here due to lockdown.

“I am providing them everything food, accommodation and other things on basis of humanity,” he said, adding that Allah has bestowed me by sending these guests here.

“I will keep providing them whatever they need till lockdown will be over and will take care of them as u am keeping of my family,” he added.

Javid Ahmad from Mumbai told Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) that we came here in March before went through screening at Jawahar Tunnel and when everyone was asking non locals to go, Nazir shb helped us.

“After screening at Jawahar tunnel, our testes were repeated after 14, that came negative too,” he said adding the love and respect that we witnessed here is found nowhere.

“As Kashmiri loved and respected us, it is our duty to love and respect Kashmiris in similar manner,” he said, adding that only love and respect can win hearts of people. (PTK)
