Covid-19:- we have to fight this battle jointly, says PM

 

Srinagar 03(PTK)Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared a video message with countrymen shortly amid a nationwide lockdown to combat the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Coronavirus pandemic continues its grip around the globe with no signs of ebbing away in countries outside China. The global tally of the total number of people infected by coronavirus as of Friday crossed 1,000,000 and the death toll from the disease exceeded 50,000.

The number of positive cases of coronavirus in India has soared to 2,331 with the death toll reaching 73, according toinformation provided by state governments.

PM in a video message said “Today when crores of ppl are inside homes, then some of us may think how will they fight this battle against #COVID19 alone. Such questions might come up in your mind? But please remember, none of us is alone. The strength of 130 crores of Indians is with each one of us”

Do not assemble anywhere, maintain social distancing while lighting the candles on April 5, stresses PM Modi.

I want your nine minutes, turn off all lights and light a candle, lamp, torch or the mobile flash lights outside your homes or on balconies to challenge the Coronavirus, he added.

According to press trust of Kashmir Further more I also appeal to people to avoid gathering anywhere during this period (on 5th April at 9 PM). You don’t have to go out on the streets and in the colonies, but do it from your doorsteps and balconies.

Moreover the way you paid gratitude to people fighting against #COVID19,on March 22 has become a model that is being emulated by other countries. Janata curfew&ringing of bells/clanging utensils,made the country aware of its unity amid this challenging time, PM said(PTK)
