Main Narcotic Drug Peddlers Arrested By Bandipora Police alongwith contraband substance

SRINAGAR:-Continuing its drive against the drug peddlers as per the directions of SSP Bandipora Shri Rahul Malik IPS,
Sumbal police led by SDPO Sumbal Saqib Ghani and SHO Sumbal Insp.Muneeb Ul Islam, on 22.03.2020 laid a surprise Naka at Wangipora Bala and arrested three drug peddlers namely 1.Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohammad Sultan R/o Bazipora Ajas 2. Tanveer Ahmad Rather S/o Mohammad Munawar Rather R/o Nesbal and 3. Hilal Ahmad Wani S/o Mohammed Sultan Wani R/o wangipora sumbal and recovered 101 bottles of Contraband Substance (Codeine phosphate ) from their possession.

Case FIR under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Sumbal and further Investigation is on.
Hilal wani was the main drug peddler of the area who was operating since long and was evading the clutches of law. Yesterday also He was caught after a brief chase by multiple police teams.
It is pertinent to mention that it is third big catch of drug peddlers and gamblers within a fortnight.
